Job Summary :
Under the direction of a Cardiologist and Cardiac-Interventional Supervisor, performs imaging of cardio/vascular procedures at a highly technical level using independent judgment. The person in this position must be able to assist the Cardiologist/Specialist during the procedure and know anatomy of body at a superior level plus the use of specialized equipment. In addition to being able to assist in the procedures listed in essential functions, the cardiac-interventional technologist must know what supplies, their correct usage and their location that will be used for the procedures listed below. When not performing procedures in the Cath Lab, assumes the duties in the department to include clerical, transportation, receptionist, inventory management, etc. Is capable of producing excellent imaging, balancing quality and quantity while giving good patient care. Demonstrates proficiency in field and is competent according to their license. Has had Medical director sign off and acknowledge competency in procedures listed in essential functions. Performs other duties as assigned. Must be able to be available for standby and call, and be able to perform the procedures listed blow when on call.

* This is Per Diem position (various shifts).
Qualifications:
Education/Certificates/Licenses:
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology, RT (R).
  • Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (C.I) eligible.
  • Certified Registered Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required with fluoroscopy certification.
  • Three years' experience in Cardiac Cath Lab preferred.

Language Skills:
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
