Detailed Position Responsibilities: We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team and conduct research in the area of minimally invasive interventions with a focus on cardiology. The individual's responsibilities include: • Design and implement working prototypes in hardware and software • Conduct experiments in phantoms with validation • Work hands-on with ultrasound, x-ray, or optical systems • Assist and support pre-clinical experiments • Work independently on all aspects of project and produce innovative results • Contribute to potential publications Detailed Position Requirements: Degree/Experience/Skills needed • Degree: BS, MS or PhD student in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical Eng., or Physics • Skills: o Excellent communication skills o Experience designing and carrying out phantom and/or pre-clinical experiments independently o Strong programming skills (MATLAB, C++, C#) • Knowledge of biomedical imaging (x-ray, ultrasound) • Knowledge of basic optics principles • Clinical experience preferred but not required
