The Cardiovascular Tech provides and documents patient care based on the CCT Tech process and in compliance with hospital policies and procedures under some supervision of the Registered Cardiovascular Tech. The Cardiovascular Tech detailed instructions given to the patient and all questions answered. Femoral or brachial access shaved and prep according to policy. Monitors and runs stress test procedures plain or pharmacolgoical. The Cardiovascular Tech applies firm steady pressure on access sites until clotting has been achieved either by devices or hand pressure under some supervision. Properly documents chronologically all procedure issues and hemodynamic parameters, calculations and medications in the Cathcor computer. Monitors and runs stress test procedures plan or pharmacological.Qualifications: Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified from an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist school
- Certified Cardiovascular Tech required (CVT)
- RCIS preferred
- ACLS and BLS required
- Must have one year or more of experience in a Cath Lab hospital setting required
