Job Description:
Maintains a professional and technical atmosphere within the department. Assists the physicians in practicing Invasive Coronary Angiography. Assists in the daily operations of the Cardio-Pulmonary department. Provides quality patient care on a continuous basis. Reports to the Nurse Manager of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
  • Must maintain RCIS certification through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International Committee.
  • Maintains current BLS and ACLS
  • Graduate from and accredited school of cardiovascular technology with a degree or certification in an allied health field {or} completion of the examination for Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or Vascular Technology {must have two years minimum Cath Lab experience to take exams}.
  • One year Catheterization laboratory experience preferred,
  • Successful completion of the arrhythmia examination with a score of 85% or greater. Completion of a basic arrhythmia course with a minimum of 8 hours of didactic instruction preferred.
