*Coordinates and assumes responsibility for ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient and high quality technical services and support in the assigned invasive cardiovascular service areas.
*Provides patient care, operates equipment and participates in routine and complex procedures involving some or all of the following areas: invasive cardiac catheterization, angiography, temporary pacing, device implantation, biopsies, electrophysiology, pain management and other interventional cardiac/vascular procedures.
*In collaboration with the patient/family and other members of the healthcare team, assists in implementing plan of care in a developmentally appropriate manner.
*Notes and carries out physician orders.
*Reports symptoms and significant changes in patient's condition to appropriate personnel.
*Utilizes appropriate patient/family teaching methods and ensures education needs are met for both pre and post procedures.
*Assists in the evaluation of patient responses to care and makes appropriate adjustments as necessary. Utilizes available information to evaluate patient progress toward attainment of targeted outcomes.
*Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program
*Experience: Two (2) years' experience in Radiology/Acute Care facility.
*Licensure: Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technology
(ARRT). Current certification in Basic Life Support (CPR). ACLS required within 1 year beginning
