Position Description
Health Services position in an office-based Managed Services organization (does not reside on Client/Practice site). Provides Nursing support for health service providers in areas including but not necessarily limited to: Authorization/Utilization Review; Case Mgt; Quality Improvement processes. Responsibilities may include: accountability for processing referral/authorization requests, reviewing medical documentation, determining medical necessity and/or benefit determination, considering alternatives, level of care and applying established protocols, criteria and contract guidelines; coordination of the team approach to management of patient care in an in-patient and/or outpatient basis; analyze, investigate and resolve individual care quality, coordination of care, service and access issues.


Minimum Requirements
3+ years of relevant work experience, in a managed healthcare or healthcare setting preferred

Additional Knowledge & Skills
Very good understanding of health-service related processes relevant to assigned role and responsibilities. Is capable of training others and answering questions from co-workers when necessary. Strong analytical, interpersonal skills, and computer literacy. Good knowledge of healthcare, government and insurance industry trends.

LVN/LPN Required; RN Preferred
