GOAL/POSITION SUMMARY:

Determines the medical necessity of all admissions and the need for continued stay, as well as identifies the use of inappropriate or untimely services for Resource Management. Coordinates with other interdisciplinary staff to facilitate authorization by insurance companies of DME or medical tests on the psychiatric unit.

Requirements:

Education (minimum required):
  • 2 year/Associate Degree
  • Current FL Registered Nursing License
  • Current BLS certification
Experience:
  • 1-3 years acute care experience
