The ideal candidate will have at least an associate's degree if not a bachelor's degree, as well as at least three years of manufacturing/process engineering experience that involves metallurgy, die casting processes, and equipment. The Casting Process Engineer will design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing casting processes by examining human work factors, quality control, machine functionalities, and cost analysis for existing and new programs. This involves but is not limited to collecting and analyzing data from trials, tests, and production. Additionally, the Casting Process Engineer job will develop and implement actions as needed to achieve targets for FFT and production yield, machine utilization/efficiency, and cost control.

Casting Process Engineer Job Responsibilities:
-Design, develop, and specify production and process parameters for each newly assigned and existing wheel programs
-Develop work methods and operating protocol for new products and processes
-Perform ongoing analyses, time studies, etc. to identify and implement improvements in safety/ergonomics, quality, and productivity for assigned programs
-Collect and analyze data from trials, test, and actual production
-Develop and implement actions as necessary to achieve targets for first-time-through and production yield as well as machine utilization/efficiency and cost control
-Conduct failure mode and effects analyses in order to anticipate and consequently prevent production and process problems where possible
-Apply standard troubleshoot tools and techniques to resolve unexpected problems

-Related Associate's degree, or equivalent, is required. Bachelor degree strongly preferred.
-Minimum three years of manufacturing/process engineering experience that involves metallurgy, die casting processes, and equipment-preferably low-pressure/permanent mold aluminum die casting
-Understanding of casting "appearance" standards and defects strongly desired.
-Experience with FMEA, APQP, PPAP
-Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, PDCA, and Design of Experiments
-Practical application of gauging, inspection processes, blueprint reading, and geometric dimensioning/tolerancing
-Knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 standards for quality management systems
-Strong computer skills with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
