Manages a Business Systems Consulting staff that, as liaisons between a line of business and the technical organization, plans, conducts and directs analyses of technological solutions for moderately complex to complex applications that may impact multiple lines of business and/or products and systems. Oversees and facilitates evaluation of business requirements, recommending and directing the implementation of appropriate technological alternatives. Provides specialized, in-depth technical expertise and consultation to business and systems management. Manages staff to ensure effective design, analysis, project management, programming, training, implementation, and maintenance of enhancements. Reviews and recommends technology policy and assists in the systems planning process. Identifies risk factors and establishes/implements appropriate controls. Develops RFPs and has responsibility for vendor oversight and selection as appropriate. May prepare and/or administer a budget. Jobs which support brokerage activities may require specific FINRA securities registrations. Required registration(s) vary based on specific job responsibilities.

Responsible for understanding, documenting, and communicating business needs for the strategic Customer Due Diligence tool, Cornerstone which is used by various LOBs throughout Wholesale. As a member of a business team the selected candidate is required to work with users and management across lines of business to act as their agent to Technology. Will be required to understand and bear in mind the needs of Lines, as well as the greater vision of Wholesale Business Solutions, Wholesale Technology, and Wholesale Risk when defining business requirements.

Must have proven experience interacting with various levels of the organization with a vast array of technological knowledge. Expected to learn certain functional aspects of Customer Due Diligence/Anti-Money Laundering in great detail in order to act as a Subject Matter Expert in concert with a team of BSCs with similar expertise, sharing the same goal of system stabilization and partner support.

The position will focus on Production Support, managing a team of both U.S. and offshore resources. Will directly facilitate LOB engagement forums and champion change where needed. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using Agile methodology as we transform to a Product Management capability model.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of information technology experience
  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience, in an IT environment

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with IBM/BPM, Actimize, or similar platforms
  • Experience with both Waterfall and Agile development processes
  • Experience with BSA and AML
  • SQL or other query language a plus
  • Strong experience writing business requirements at various levels of complexity
  • Ability to understand a variety of deliverables being produced within stringent timelines
  • Demonstrable listening and speaking, negotiating, sales, ownership, and leadership capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change, quickly identify associated risks and propose strategies and/or steps to resolve
  • Experience working with multiple business groups simultaneously
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Working knowledge of a standard Production Support process including EACO bridge line, issue analysis and defect priority assessment
