The primary function of the Seasonal Service Associate is to perform actions needed
for effective warehouse functioning. This includes confirming receipt
of inventory, verifying shipments, moving stock, and following procedures
for damaged inventory.

The Seasonal Service Associate is responsible for unloading the warehouse trucks and inventory management including daily cycle counts and discrepancy resolution. The Service Associate is also
responsible for loading the delivery truck and safely operating power
equipment. The Service Associate is required to maintain a safe and
secure work environment by conducting daily safety reviews, noting
hazards, keeping areas clean and organized, and monitoring for potential
theft or security risks. Lastly, the Service Associate is responsible for
completing all other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule
Requires
morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week.
Required to work a pre-determined schedule, but may be changed by management based on business needs. Requests to be scheduled off for a specific day requires advanced notification and approval by supervisor.

Seasonal hourly Full Time or Part Time: Generally scheduled 39 to 40 or 10 to 25
hours per week, respectively; more hours may be required based on
business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Receive products to confirm delivery
Process
receipt of merchandise from inbound trucks (e.g., RDC); verifies
incoming shipments against the accompanying bill of lading; records the
shipment and the condition of its contents; and moves stock and other
materials to and from storage and loading docks using the appropriate
tools and equipment (e.g., Scanners, Forklifts, Pallet
jacks, Two-wheelers).
Keeps paperwork filed and organized in the receiving office
Verifies Retail Distribution Center (RDC)requisition, shipping location, and seals.
Matches items on the loading ticket with quantities loaded by verifying descriptions, items, and model numbers.
Participates in training for equipment and safety procedures.
Pulls, straps, ad blankets merchandise, and load trucks (within the truck's payload) according to delivery order.
Notifies management when products in box to not match box description and records what was receive versus what is missing.
Ensures
good housekeeping standards are in place and programs such as Area
Recover, are executed daily to guarantee that the facility (including
work areas) is clean and organized at all times.
Ensures the loads are safe, secure, and within Lowe standards,
Cares for equipment by refueling and charging when necessary.
Uses box bailer to compress cardboard that is sent to receiving.
Completes stocking of direct (TL-LTL) freight as received from the RDC/carrier
Inspects condition products (e.g., Appliances)before loading for delivery or assisting customer with loading.
Monitors power equipment use, ensures it adheres to Lowe's safety standards, and reports any violation to immediate supervisors.
Re-sorts incorrectly sorted items by delivering items to the specific location.
Participates
in recycling programs by making sure proper materials (e.g., Appliances,
Plastics, and Batteries) are recycled(e.g., Cardboard bale, Appliance
Trailer, or Front of store) as appropriate.
Detects common signs of theft and other security risks, and promptly communicates to management.
Performs receive duties and Area recovery.
Ensures all damaged items are placed in designated damage area.
Ensures doors and gates are secured or monitored when open.
Ensures
full shelf capacity standards are in place during stocking practices;
down stocks by noting areas where merchandise is low, and moving top
stock into alignment with display on middle shelving.
Performs cycle counts based on the assortment calendar.
Performing basic operations of trash/refuse compactor.
Reads manuals and directions to learn how to assemble products (as needed).

Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtractions)

Preferred Qualifications:
3 months experience operating forklift/power equipment such as lifts and similar equipment.
6 months experience in a warehouse or retail environment performing inventory handling and stocking.
