Under the close supervision of Department Supervisor or Lead Technician performs all tasks related to the set-up, delivery, pickup, decontamination and maintenance of medical equipment, procedure trays and carts; sterilization of supplies and instruments; folding and assembling of linen packs and delivering of supply orders; maintenance of equipment record billing; setting up and removing traction equipment.
Knowledge/Professional Licensure/Registration/Certifications: Ability to work as part of a team in an atmosphere that is variable paced low pressure. Ability to operate autonomously on a varying set of tasks. Requires mobility and ability to move, lift, push, and pull equipment & supplies. Basic knowledge of medical supplies, equipment, instruments, and sterile/aseptic technique preferred. Basic keyboard skills are preferable. Good interpersonal and problem solving and team building skills are required. Certifications as Central Service Technician desirable.
Experience: No previous experience required. A minimum of six months to one year medical supply or sterile processing
Equipment/Machine Skills: Must be able to use all job specific equipment that are required to clean and maintain the
Other Skills: must be able to read and write, and follow oral and written instructions.
