This position is responsible for supporting the Maintenance Department in various roles including, but not limited to, operating and performing corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, repair of plant utility systems, and mechanical aptitude. Candidate will support Maintenance, Building and Grounds and other cross functional departments as requested. Essential Responsibilities include: Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual preventative maintenance; Operation of plant equipment including, but not limited to, ammonia compressors, glycol concentrators, liquid ammonia pumps and receivers; Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual inspections, including testing, verification, and/or calibration on plant utility systems; Troubleshoot, and resolve utility failures; Repair and modification of plant utility equipment/systems with precision maintenance techniques as necessary; Responsible for maintaining a safe environment, including LOTO, SQF, GMP's and departmental policies; Perform all duties in accordance with safety regulations and Process Safety Management. Candidate must be willing to work in high elevations; withstand wet, humid, cold, and hot environments; be able to withstand temperature extremes from below 0o F (-10o F in some freezers) to over 110o F while working around cookers; and individually be willing to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift. Candidate must be willing to become a member of the Hazmat team; must have CIRO and CARO certifications. Candidate must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations in the American and Metric systems and the ability to use schematics and blue prints during routine troubleshooting is required. Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
