Provides on-call and as needed spiritual care services for patients, families and staff in a variety of clinical settings and among a very diverse patient and staff demographic. The position requires critical assessment of spiritual need, awareness of the many contextual features impacting care, knowledge of clinical ethics process and law, and ability to manage oneself in highly emotional situations in a calm, thoughtful and professional manner.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required: Bachelors degree in area of expertise and one unit of clinical pastoral education (CPE). Anyone hired after June 18, 2013 is required to have a minimum of 1 unit of CPE.
