We are searching for a Charge RN for a full-time, night shift (7p to 7a) position on our Labor and Delivery unit.
The Charge Nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect total nursing care of his/her assigned patients. He/she is also responsible for the supervision of assigned personnel. The position requires intimate knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures relevant to the delivery of nursing care. Interpretive skills, frequent interactive and consultative associates, along with management and supervisory skills are inherent in the position. The ability to retrieve, communicate, or otherwise present information in written, auditory, or visual fashion is essential. The primary method to express or exchange ideas is through the spoken word. Written, telephone, and manual dexterity skills are required for the position.
Required Education: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing. Level entry training may be a Diploma Program in Nursing, an Associate Degree in Nursing or a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Licensure/Certifications: Florida RN License, American Heart Association BLS Health Care Provider Cert., NRP, Fetal Monitor Certification
Required Experience: Minimum of 1 year RN Labor and Delivery experience required, Charge or Relief Charge experience preferred
