Adecco Direct Placement is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a Direct Hire Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Job in Erie, PA for our client, an international company with consolidated accounting operations based in the Erie, PA Corporate office location. The CFO will manage accounting, tax and treasury functions, primarily financial in nature, of all US Company activities, that will assist management, its shareholders and other users in making educated economic decisions about the company and support the business units accounting activities. This is a highly visible position within the international company. We seek candidates with previous experience in managing an international accounting and finance division, with IFRS Standards experience strongly preferred. Responsibilities for the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Job in Erie, PA:
Will manage the Accounting and Valuation rules and support the business unit CEO for accounting activities forming a link with Group Finance division
Set up Shared Service organization producing accounting for US entities of the Group
Will lead the relationship with the domestic bank and will develop the needed funding solution in order to optimize cash flow and offer attractive financing to the Group and our customers
Ensure accounting to be done in accordance with US standards and IFRS
Validate recording of all companies transactions in accordance with the costs accounting/ projects structure
Proper compliance with statutory legal requirements
Provide and work with external tax professionals to assure accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate insurance coverage and administration based on business unit and corporate risk policies Relay between operating entities and corporate risk and insurance management
Provide support for the integration of any new business unit when a merge or acquisition will occur
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification a plus but not required.
Must have 10 years of hands-on accounting managerial experience
Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, project cost control, payroll, income tax and banking working knowledge.
Microsoft Office, SAP or other accounting software experience is strongly preferred
SEC/Contractual negotiation is a plus.
Demonstrate knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information with discretion and professionalism.
Highly organized with good knowledge of administrative practices and procedures.
Plan, organize, administer, review and evaluate the work and behavior of direct reports; recruit, retain, evaluate staff.
Must demonstrate familiarity with commercial risks, including indemnification, limits of liability, negligence, liquidated damages, etc.
