Chipset Power Systems Lead/Architect
Job Description: In this position, you will be joining an elite team of System Engineers within Project Engineering Group, responsible for leading and optimizing the SoC as well as the overall end-to-end platform for power. This role requires great team skills and vast technical background working with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers from Process Node Technology to Architecture, HW, SW, Validation, and commercialization efforts to meet customer commitments. This technical end-to-end system responsibility includes:Responsibility to manage and drive all technical aspects influencing Power KPIs.Drive the KPI from target setting, break-down to specific components to final closure within the platform development.Define the related use-cases and map them to the different components.Define the requirements for the Power Management function and the related chip architecture parts to meet the Power KPI.Define related HW, SoC, and SW architecture together with the experts from these areas.Identify and drive optimizations of all ingredients in our platforms, e.g. SW, FW, HW, CPU, Graphics, Display Engine, PMIC, and other Multi-media components such as IPU, etc. Guide different teams, like HW architecture, SW, and System-on-Chip SoC to achieve the respective power goals.Define main feature deliveries for power optimizations.Drive the definition of the verification approach and related test-cases for pre- and post-Silicon verification.Responsibility to manage and drive technical relationship with other system, implementation, and verification groups spread in different geographical regions.
Qualifications:M.S. in Electrical Engineering with more than 7 years of industrial experience on SoC power and demonstrated leadership skills. Ph.D. is preferred.Job Experience: Minimum 7 years.Experience as system engineer in the overall project, driving IP, and development of projects from early definition stages all the way to commercialization efforts.Knowledge in architectures for SoC systems, including HW, SW, core sub-systems, Application Processors, and Multi-media components such as GPU, IPU, etc.Familiarity with cellular/WLAN/BT modem architecture and power is a plus.Good communication and strong analytical and problem solving skills.Previous customer engagement experience is a plus.
