Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Claims Processor job in Ontario, CA. This is a long term opportunity for the right person. DESCRIPTION:

Manually key claims into the Claims Payment System
Examine claims to ensure accurate adjudication and claims payment
Interpret fee for service and capitated provider contracts
Route claim issues to outside departments through separate applications (UM reviews, Configuration issues, Eligibility, etc.)
Work held reports and daily claims insert reports
Analyze professional claims for accurate claims processing/payment review provider contracts as needed


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1-3 years professional claims processing
Working knowledge of Medical Terminology, ICD9/ICD10, CMS 1500 claim forms
Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
Exceptional data entry skills


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

3 or more years of combined experience in healthcare administration, medical coding, data entry, and customer service
Experience with Medical Terminology, ICD9/ICD10, CMS 1500 claim forms


WORKING CONDITIONS:

The work is mostly non-confined sitting (employee is free to move about).
Work is conducted on the telephone and computer terminal.
Visual as well as mental concentration requiring the ability to handle situations under stress is applied.
Exposure to risk on the job is limited.
The work environment is mostly clean and comfortable, and may include some annoyances such as noise, odors, and drafts.




This is a 3+ month assignment with possible extension and permanent opportunities.
