Ensure shipment accuracy while using the SAP system . Coordinate communication with other department as required.
This is a 1st shift position. Days are Monday - Friday with weekends as needed. Hours are 10am - 6:30pm.
Job responsibilities may include:
-Ensure relative documentation is created and/or entered into computerized system for all incoming/outbound shipments.
-Communicate with Customer Service to coordinate releasing of loads.
-Resolve shipment errors prior to shipment release.
-Distribute workloads to forklift operators.
-Communicate with carriers on load departure time.
-Print bills of lading, pick lists, and stencils.
-Conform to Internal Control, ISO-9001, ISO 14001, and QMS, EMS programs etc.
-Ensure group conformance to company, client, and governmental policies and regulations.
-Continue to enhance knowledge of job related operations.
-Perform other duties as needed.
-2 - 4 years of warehouse experience required
-High School diploma or equivalent required, degree preferred
-Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
-Must possess good communications, organizational and problem solving skills
-Must have working knowledge of MRP and JITs
-Knowledge of SAP preferred
-Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
