Our product management team believes that our product experiences should connect at an emotional level with users while providing what they need in the most simplistic and intuitive ways. As a product manager- client applications, you will be a key player at the heart of the customer experience, developing seamless end-to-end experiences that surprise and delight customers. This role is inherently cross-functional and you will work closely with design, development and product to bring new video products to consumers. You will drive the user experience, roadmap, and future of video products across the web, mobile platforms and connected devices. You will be deeply involved in the overall vision and be challenged to think strategically and creatively about customer experience to rapidly turn vision into roadmap and progress.

  • The team works on a variety of platforms, services and devices tackling interesting engineering, product and design challenges.
  • We're located in SOMA, the heart of San Francisco with all of its great food, just a few minutes walk to Caltrain and easy access to the freeway.

  • User journeys: collaborate with engineering and operations partners to define narratives with visual artifacts that enable the intended results, then drive buy-in from partner teams and VZ leadership.
  • Cross functional: proactively engage and communicate with stakeholders and the larger organization about product cycles and strategic priorities throughout the development process.
  • Requirements: gather and understand complex requirements from all stakeholders, prioritize them according to the roadmap and translate them into clear, timely and precise product specifications/ features/ capabilities with necessary artifacts from partner teams to enable development that produces an ROI.
  • Sprint management: work hand in hand with development to create epics / user stories and manage the backlog for development sprints. Set realistic development goals, making timely trade off decisions and ensuring development activities are transparent and stay on track.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Product management experience for consumer facing products.
  • Experience with iOS and Android platforms, web, living room devices.

Even better if you have

  • B.S or M.S (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent experience.
  • MBA.
  • Experience working cross functionally to write product requirements, user stories, specifications, create wireframes, mocks and work-flow diagrams.
  • Led cross-functional teams on identification, prioritization, and execution of product initiatives from ideation to post-launch.
  • High levels of creativity and quick problem solving capabilities.
  • Positive attitude and proactive approach.
