Seeking to fill a full-time, Clinic Assistant III position at an internationally renowned Health Care facility in Newark, CA. Responsibilities include: 1. Responsible for building and maintaining accurate database of referring providers. 2. Demonstrates master skill set for detail, accuracy and integrity of provider information. 3. Ability to identify and use a variety of resources to obtain and verify provider demographics and licensure. 4. Manages data across multiple sources (e.g. MSOW, Epic), including ability to engage Help Desk when appropriate for assistance. 5. Capable of independent and creative discovery and problem solving. 6. Follows best in practice workflows as presented in Staff Proficiencies checklist, such as verifying state medical licence, NPI number, checking for sanctions through the Office of the Inspector General, and enrollment in PECOS program, 7. Ability to multi-task, set priorities, meet time commitments and follow-through to resolution. 8. Participates in projects which contribute to building and/or maintaining the database 9. Contributes to the team and the overall mission of the organization. 10. Maintains professional demeanor when dealing with internal/external customers. 11. Maintains confidentiality of documents and information as per HIPAA guidelines. Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or equivalent required. 2. Three years of office work experience. 3. Prior experience with data entry is preferred. 4. Ability to type minimum 65 wpm. required. 5. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel required. 6. ICD-9-CM/CPT-4 Coding system experience 7.
