The Neuroscience Clinical Nurse Specialist/Educator supports the educational and clinical needs in the neurology/neurosurgery population by working collaboratively with nursing and medical management to assure quality patient care. The role includes enhancing quality and patient safety, translating research into nursing practice, acting as a resource in a clinical specialty to colleagues across disciplines, role model/leader in patient care and hospital process, and drives improvement in patient care for a wide variety of complex adult illnesses.
Qualifications:
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
Minimum: CA RN License, ACLS & BLS Certificate, CCRN
Preferred: Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist, State of California

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Minimum: 5 years neurological nursing experience, 1 year teaching experience

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :
Minimum: BS in Nursing preferred; Masters Degree in Nursing required .

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, educational process skills, facilitation skills & Microsoft Office Computer applications preferred
