Position Summary:
A Pharmacist Advisor in Clinical Geriatrics acts as a drug information expert and is responsible for researching, writing, and disseminating information that supports clinical services provided by the long-term care business units within CVS Health.

The Pharmacist Advisor will collaborate with the other members of the Clinical Geriatrics team to develop evidence-based, clinical materials such as: supporting documentation for therapeutic interchange programs, disease-focused treatment algorithms, continuing education modules, in-service materials, and job aids. A large portion of the position includes maintaining the Omnicare System for Clinical Cost Outcome Retrieval (OSC2OR) consultant pharmacy database of best-practice recommendations. The Pharmacist Advisor will write new recommendations and update current recommendations to reflect current guidelines and ongoing regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:
3+ years of practical experience working as a licensed pharmacist in a health care setting.
2+ years experience researching, writing, and communicating clinical information to health care professionals.

IL Registered Pharmacist (or within 6 months of start if out of state)

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Medication Regimen Review (MRR) software applications (e.g., OSC2OR) is desirable.
Prior work as an individual contributor to a decentralized work team setting is desirable.
Strong clinical experience in drug information and clinical program process implementation preferred.

Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and/or
Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (BCGP)
Post Graduate Pharmacy Residency
practical working knowledge of the regulatory systems that affect clinical practice in long-term care

IL Registered Pharmacist (or within 6 months of start if out of state)
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy with comparable clinical experience
