Position Description
The My Choices, My Wishes Clinical Program and Implementation Manager is responsible for operational delivery of McKesson Specialty Health’s My Choices, My Wishes advance care planning (ACP) offering.  Accountable for working knowledge of program content and infrastructure, including electronic data capture and reporting of practice performance, patient-facing education materials, practice and physician tool sets and program implementation processes. The My Choices, My Wishes Clinical Program and Implementation Manager will maintain a national scope of work.
 
Routine collaboration with internal and external supportive departments, including information technology, managed care, financial and data analytics, marketing and revenue cycle management. Regular and frequent interface with practice-based leadership teams, physicians, and clinical staff is required to promote and engage the My Choices, My Wishes program at multiple levels. Supports and adheres to the McKesson Specialty Health Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
 
Key Responsibilities
  1. Leads practices in the implementation and engagement of the My Choices, My Wishes program. Develops project plans and defines scope of work, practice goals and progress timelines. Must be capable of supporting multiple practice implementation and follow-up schedules simultaneously.
  2. Collaborates with practice leadership to set project goals and milestones; delivers projects within established timelines. Ensures participation, innovation and decision-making among leadership team; effectively uses facilitation tools and group process techniques. Supports customers during implementation both remotely and onsite, as appropriate.
  3. Leads My Choices, My Wishes workflow analysis and process design, training efforts, revenue projections, and provides oversight to ensure the program is successful in each deployed practice site. Assesses user abilities and tailors training to meet customer needs.
  4. Maintains and routinely delivers a standard set of My Choices, My Wishes reports.
  5. Serves as an advance care planning subject matter expert and advocates for McKesson Specialty Health; shares pertinent information and publications with engaged practices, as appropriate.
  6. Develops new and maintains existing print and electronic training materials, as needed.
  7. Participates actively with ongoing development of the My Choices, My Wishes program through network collaboration and publication of program outcomes.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
5 years experience working in an oncology practice or clinic with demonstrated leadership skills.
 
Critical Skills:
  • 3 years work experience in training, project management and/or supporting electronic health care information systems.
  • Knowledge of advance care planning principles and tenets.
  • Therapeutic communication knowledge and skills.
  • Working knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably iKnowMed.
  • Experience with customer-focused collaboration; ability to create project momentum and visible value.
  • Computer and internet skills including Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
 
Additional Knowledge/Skills
  • Working knowledge of database principles and data flow within health care systems.
  • Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio, a plus
  • Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN), a plus
 
Education:
 
Travel
•           Travel up to 25% of work week, on average
 
Working Conditions/Location:  Environment (Office, warehouse, etc.) – Normal office environment
  • The Woodlands, TX – Specialty Health Headquarters is the preferred work location.  Remote candidates may be considered.
