The Close and Reporting Projects Manager will support significant projects that are global and cross functional in nature. The manager will be required to understand the value drivers of projects, measure cost/benefit and create, influence and implement close and reporting systems and process solutions. The manager will participate in diverse project teams and lead sub team execution. Types of projects will include: Acquisition integrations and other M&A projects, system implementations and exploring, and in some cases implementing business process improvements. The most critical objective of the role will be to ensure compliant and efficient financial close and reporting processes. Close and reporting processes are focused on business enablement and compliance, including, but are not limited to: Close and consolidations, legal entity management and oversight, statutory reporting, intercompany accounting, account management and reconciliation as well as system and process flows impacting Intel close processes. This role works closely with and is depended upon by numerous Intel organizations to plan and execute the integration strategy, including: Global Accounting, Global Tax, FP&A, Legal, Operations, HR, CS, IT, Tax, Supply Chain, GAFS, External Reporting, and Treasury.
Bachelor or master degree in Accounting, finance or related discipline.
Must be CPA or equivalent
At least 10 years of relevant experience in accounting responsibilities
Strong understanding of US GAAP and working knowledge of IFRS desired
Project management experience or experience in participation in large projects is desired
Prioritization and multi-tasking skills
Strong analytical skills and understanding of systems and processes
Excellent organization and communications skills
Excellent partnering and collaboration skills
Availability to do some travelling domestic and internationally.
