Oracle is building a from scratch Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) Public Cloud, and a large part of that effort is a container service targeting modern DevOps engineers. We are looking for exceptional distributed systems and operating systems engineers to join this effort.
The container services team is building a massive-scale cluster and application management system that targets next-generation/cloud-native mission-critical applications. You will be part of a team founded by industry veterans from AWS, Google, OpenStack, Joyent and others that will create the first enterprise-grade public cloud cluster management service. We believe this team and mission sits squarely at the center of Oracle's future, and this is an opportunity to rethink the way compute, storage and network virtualization systems interact and the way applications are built.
We have engineering work at every layer of the stack, from REST API to distributed systems core to OS kernel, and we are looking for teammates who are interested in being part of a team that innovates from top to bottom. We believe that the only way to succeed is to own every part of the problem, and so we are creating a team that controls its own destiny. Our team will be located in the San Francisco Bay Area, with offices in Oakland and San Francisco.
