Microsoft’s Azure is at the forefront of changing how business is run through its efficient and innovative offerings. We are in the midst of the next Digital Revolution and as the business scales to new heights, the CXP (Customer Experience) team within Azure Engineering has been tasked to ensure that we have a zero-friction customer experience. We are looking for a passionate developer with experience developing on any of the public cloud platforms, to help us redefine Azure forums and social media based support. This role is ideal for someone who wants to jump in head first and learn Azure in both Breadth and Depth across its many services. Being close to the Engineering teams, you will be one of the first customers for them, developing, reviewing and testing by writing your own code. In short this is an engineering role for developers who want to be in an environment of intense growth and learning to help scale Azure to new heights, challenging the status quo for customer experience by common sense development and out of box thinking.

Your job will include:
•Answering Developer related questions on supported MSDN, Stack Overflow etc.
•Being the voice and advocate for our customer, reporting and acting on observed areas for improvement.
•Creating and updating Azure product documentation to help customers build solutions on Azure.
•Write sample code and work with technical writing teams to produce developer documentation, quick-starts, and tutorials
•Put an engineering lens on Forums based support using Big Data and ML
•Working with customers to understand how they use Azure services, and providing valuable feedback to business and development teams.
•Actively seeking solutions to customer needs, communicating trends to leadership, and suggesting innovative solutions on behalf of the customer experience.
•Assuming responsibility for developing detailed knowledge about specific product lines and features.
•Improving internal efficiency and customer satisfaction by proactively identifying opportunities to optimize existing or new processes and tools.
•Guide/Mentor new CSE’s and bring them to a similar knowledge level

Experience and skills:
•Strong passion for helping developers connect people and communities through the cloud.
•Demonstrable technical depth in software development and contributions to the overall ecosystem.
•Proven experience working with technical communities, social media and blogging.
•Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
•Strong multi-tasker and self-starter with passion for technology
•Experience in designing or defining mobile app & web-based software systems and frameworks.
•Programming of APIs in a combination of the following: Java or C# with exposure or experience in other leading web application languages like PHP, Ruby, Python and JavaScript.
•Active GitHub repo contribution across technologies
•Open to working shifts (12pm-8pm, Su-Th or Tu-Sa)

Basic Qualifications:
•3+ years of experience working with enterprise customers on Azure specific solutions, application development and deployment
•Bachelor’s degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics

Preferred Qualifications:
•Proven history of customer-obsession
•Experience with Container platforms
•Experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for technical issues
•Expertise with network monitoring/troubleshooting tools
•Familiarity with cloud networking concepts, connectivity (geo-redundancy, CDN, VPN) and tools
•Familiarity with cloud deployment and development tools (ie. PowerShell, Visual Studio, .NET, Python)
•Some programming/scripting experience (Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, and/or PHP)
•Some experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications
•Some Azure solutions development and deployment experience
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
•Experience and track record in social/digital media via blogging, tweeting, writing technical articles or participating in discussion boards - preferably with an existing follower base.
•Experience speaking in front of large groups.
•Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
