Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a CNC Machine Operator job in Saint Louis, MO. These are long term opportunities. CNC Machinist and Lathe Operators are responsible for setting up and operating various types of CNC and Lathe machines within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities for this CNC Operator include job include:

>Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine the sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup used.
>Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions, adjusting machines as necessary.
>Set up and operate machines, such as lathes, cutters, shears, borers, millers, grinders, presses, drills, and auxiliary machines, to make metallic and plastic workpieces.
>Inspect workpieces for defects, and measure workpieces to determine accuracy of machine operation, using rules, templates, or other measuring instruments.
>Read blueprints or job orders to determine product specifications and tooling instructions and to plan operational sequences.
>Interact professionally with shop supervisors and manufacturing personnel.


Qualifications:

>High School Diploma or GED
>2-3 years of experience operating CNC mills and lathes
>Proficient in blueprint reading
>Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen.
