The CNC / Screw Machines Set Up - 3rd Shift will set up and operate all tooling as well as properly set up of mechanical and CNC machines. You will need to have knowledge of CNC code, tool nomenclature and have ability to interpret a print set up sheet in order to make a quality part in a production environment.
As the CNC / Screw Machines Set Up - 3rd Shift, you will:
+ Interpret written specs
+ Interpret Manufacturing instructions
+ Use standard measuring instruments
+ Set up CNC Lathes, perform offsets, and basic trouble shooting of G and M codes
+ Set up mechanical lathes (single spindle, multi-spindle, and specialized equipment)
+ Stock preparation and inventory transactions
+ Operate lathes in a production environment
+ High School Diploma / GED
+ Ability and willingness to lift up to 40 pounds throughout the day
+ Ability and willingness to work 3rd shift
+ Knowledge of CNC code & tool nomenclature
+ Ability to interpret Manufacturing instructions
+ Mechanical aptitude
+ Ability to do shop math
+ Ability to interpret shop blueprints
+ Strong safety, attendance and performance record
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
+ Ability to work well with others
+ Self-Directed Team Player
+ Ability to identify specific dispensable tooling based on application (drills, taps, form tools, etc.)
+ Proper nomenclature for tooling
+ Technical Degree in Machine Tool Technology or Metal Removal Theory from an accredited technical school / equivalent degree
