CO2 Sales Manager (East Coast)


Job Description : The primary job function is to lead, mentor, and hold accountability for the CO2 Sales Representatives within the East and South Divisions (Approximately 17 reps). This individual will promote the Airgas National Carbonation initiatives by providing general leadership, professional guidance, sales training, and best practice sharing to the sales group. In addition, the Sales Manager is responsible for providing pricing guidance on new and renewal business opportunities, implementing price increase initiatives, and ensuring erosion of existing customer base meets target rates. The East Coast Sales Manager will be responsible for a territory of approximately $30MM in annual revenue.


Territory: The territory will be comprised of states encompassed in the Regional Companies of Airgas East, Airgas NE, Airgas Great Lakes, Airgas Midwest, Airgas South, Airgas Mid America, Airgas North Central, National Welders Region.

Travel: Travel requirements are on a need be basis to complete the job requirements, but expectations are approximately 50% of the time devoted to travel.


Home Office: The employee can be based at a home office or a Business Support Center, which ever proves to be more convenient. A cell phone and laptop are provided by the company. Monthly cell phone charges are billed directly to the company. A monthly stipend up to $45.00 is offered to cover the cost of internet and/or fax service (if home office based).


Skills Required: Clear communication and team development is a base element for this job function. Good organizational and planning skills are critical, with an emphasis on leadership of the sales group to achieve customer satisfaction and overall success. Basic computer skills in Outlook, Word, and Excel along with good telephone etiquette are essential to perform this job as well.


Compensation: Additionally, there is an annual bonus opportunity of 20% of the base salary under the Airgas Management Bonus Program.


Car: A personal car is required and all Airgas insurance coverage and requirements apply. The car should be a late model, suitable for transporting customers, if required. A monthly car allowance of $450 is payable, along with a competitive mileage rate for business miles driven.
