Current Need
Surgery Specialty - Coding Auditor - Remote

Position Description
The individual in this roll will support our quarterly QA process on the national level.  Responsibilities include the reviewing of coding accuracy and quality and involvement with the coders in which they personally QA.  The function of this role supports, but is not limited to, coders, sales & marketing, team leads, supervisors and operations managers.   Assist in trainings and client education if needed.

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements
Entry level professional. Desired backgrounds may inlcude healthcare, medicare, pharmaceuticals, biologics manufacturing, or clinical research.

Critical Skills

 

Surgery Specialty highly preferred




Additional Knowledge and Skills
Some knowledge of regulatory affairs; good analytical, research, written, editing, and verbal communication skills. Some jobs may require specific knowledge of drug regulatory affairs, healthcare, or medicare.

  1. Assist in supporting the sales team with analysis and review of documentation for prospective clients. 
  2. May need to assist in prospective client meetings (require CPD approval)
  3. May need to assist in client education / in services as needed. (requires CPD approval)
  4. Assist in the timely delivery of monthly “ask the coder” articles for ReveNews publication
  5. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information concerning patients, physicians, employees, clients, vendors, and the company.
  6. Ensure compliance with all State, Federal, professional regulations as well as department rules, policies, and procedural manuals.
  7. Adherence to Safety Regulations.
  8. Adherence to HIPAA Regulations.
  9. Other duties as assigned. 


Education
4-year degree or equivalent experience

Certifications/Licensure

Possess a coding certification and have auditing experience (CPC or CCS)
