IBM's Cognitive Solutions team is looking for experienced engineers with deep skills in compiler technology and hardware optimization. These engineers will join the Cognitive Solutions team to build, optimize, and extend deep neural networking (DNN) open-source frameworks on to Power-Linux. They will also help to optimize a variety of compiler technologies on Power 8/9 that benefit many workloads on the platform.
Ideal candidates will have demonstrated proficiency with multiple chip architectures, porting and optimizing low-level C/C++ code to the Power-Linux platform. The assignments require the ability to contribute in an agile software development environment leveraging the latest continuous integration techniques for software build and release management. The candidates will work with popular AI frameworks (e.g., Tensorflow, Caffe, Theano, Torch, Chainer, Digits, CNTK, MxNet, and NCCL ), established and new compilers, and accelerator technologies (GPU, FPGA, ASCICS, ...). In addition, candidates will demonstrate ability to use distributed software methods to enable cluster-level solutions.
