ROLE DESCRIPTION:

 
FreeWheel is hiring a New York-based Commercial Development Manager, reporting to the Head of Commercial Development. 

Commercial Development is part of the Revenue Group and  is responsible for developing product marketing strategy, driving sales opportunities and representing the interests of our customers in developing new products. Team member’s work within Product Squads and act as the Commercial Lead, working alongside the Product Manager and members of the Client Services and Engineering teams. 

In this position, you will work with the Commercial Development team and assigned Product Squads. You will be the subject matter expert for assigned product offerings with the objective of driving revenue via product adoption/usage. You will be accountable for  providing market input into the product development cycle, articulating product value to customers, developing product marketing materials and supporting the Revenue Team on the specific product offerings. 


RESPONSIBILITIES:


•    Develop internal & external product marketing materials 
•    Develop product positioning & commercial framework 
•    Drive product adoption and usage rates by supporting market facing programs and effective product launch support
•    Act as subject matter expert on assigned product landscape and technology ecosystem 
•    Be an expert on the  TV & digital video advertising & technology industry trends, monitor the trades and attend industry conferences to educate internally and anticipate future market needs
•    Act as an in-market product resource & partner with sales teams to drive product understanding and adoption among customers and prospects 
•    Maintain relationships with existing customers and cultivate new relationships with potential customers
•    Assist with development of product roadmap & help prioritize activities aligned to customers 

 

ABOUT YOU:

 

•    4+ years experience at a TV broadcaster, online publisher, advertising company or media / tech focused management consultancy
•    In-depth understanding of the TV and digital video advertising market and metrics
•    Experience interacting directly with clients
•    Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
•    Experience developing and executing market strategies that have proven to be successful
•    Passion for building new products and working in a rapidly changing market
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Microsoft Office proficiency required (PowerPoint & Excel)
•    BA/BS degree
•    Experience with international media and advertising ecosystem a plus
•    Passion for building new products and working in a rapidly changing market
