Job Description
The Amgen Commercial Leadership Program (CLP) is a career opportunity for candidates interested in continuing his/her professional development and in becoming a key contributor at Amgen. The program consists of three 12-month rotations, totaling 3 years. The positions offered through this program vary across Amgen's Global Commercial Operations (GCO) organization. This particular specialty CLP opportunity will have two rotations in the U.S. market and the third rotation in the Asian market. Upon completion of the CLP program (~2020) successful program graduates will be placed into one of Amgen Asia's affiliates (Japan or Hong Kong) in a full-time role to work in our most dynamic and emerging growth market. The first two U.S. assignment rotations may include sales, marketing promotions, marketing research, global access and reimbursement, or global marketing.

A sales assignment entails the selling of Amgen's products to primary care, cardiology, nephrology, oncology, rheumatology or dermatology customers. In some cases, it may also include partnering with Corporate Account Managers to manage strategic partnerships with key customers, or managing specific projects with the Regional/District Sales Managers. The location of the sales rotation assignment will be determined based on company needs at the time of hire, which requires that the candidate be geographically flexible for this assignment within the U.S.

Non-sales assignments require the program participant to assume responsibility for a specific area on a team within one of the Business Units, Global Value Access & Policy, or Global Marketing. The location of these assignments is typically at Amgen's Thousand Oaks, California global headquarters.

Amgen Inc. retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time.
