The Commercial Sales Manager (Southwest Region) is repsonsible for increasing commercial sales in designated sales territories by managing and assisting Architectural Representatives who are calling on Architects, Designers and National Accounts for the purpose of obtaining proprietary specifications for Dal-Tile.
+ Travels throughout assigned regions to insure that Arch Reps are calling on regular and prospective customers including Architects, Designers, Developers, General Contractors and National Accounts.
+ Develops and executes strategies to drives commercial sales growth, measured by defined metrics annually.
+ Reviews weekly Arch Rep activity through various vehicles (eMpower, communication.) to insure relationships with the Top 25 architectural firms and the Top 25 design firms are in place.
+ Works in unison with National Account Managers to insure all segments are covered to procure and maintain national accounts.
+ Emphasizes new product promotion by Arch Reps to keep new technologies in front of the A&D community.
+ Ensures that Arch Reps join A&D affiliations that will benefit Dal-Tile.
+ Attends and critiques Arch Reps on product knowledge seminars with architectural and design firms.
+ Develops in-depth knowledge and expertise with regard to all Dal-Tile products, allied products, and installation methods.
+ Attends Large Project Meetings to make sure that they are being chaired with effective results.
+ Maintains frequent communication with SSC staff to insure that lines of communication are open with reps and managers.
+ Regularly evaluates Arch Reps to ensure that they are at the level of qualification assigned prior to promotions or salary increases.
+ Leads Mohawk commercial sales collaborations.
+ Works with architects expanding scope of project (natural stone, manufactured stone, quartz etc).
+ Mentors and coaches team on best practices in relations to sales, margin and time management.
+ Performs other assigned duties as required by General Manager of Commercial Sales.
Education and Knowledge:
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience.
+ Five or more years of architectural sales or industry experience.
+ Strong communication skills, exercises independent judgment and initiative in order to make good management decisions.
+ Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
