Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary work environment, which conforms to all standards and regulations. Adhere to sanitation, safety standards, and accident reporting procedures.
  • Deliver safely and efficiently 20 bags per hour (minimum) while working neatly.
  • Secure orders. Communicate missing bags, damaged product, and miss picks to immediate supervisor.
  • Adhere to delivery procedures for accurately recording commissary products received by inmates.
  • Work under the dual direction of both ARAMARK supervisor and CC DOC officers.
  • Maintain product on the assembly line based on stock levels.
  • Efficiently and accurately pick product and place in corresponding bins. Fill inmate's order based onder Form. Place completed order in the bin for delivery.
  • Communicate out of stock inventory to supervisors and stock personnel.
  • Achieve assigned production goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
  • Ensure safety; including but not limited to, wearing of safety equipment, blade security, and applying general safety guidelines.
  • Work in a team focused environment.
  • Maintain professional conversations with inmate population while they are obtaining requested merchandise. Provide excellent customer service while following Fraternization Policy and other safety guidelines.
  • Assist with receiving, unloading, counting, and checking in of product.
  • Ensure warehouse is accessible, safe, and kept clean and organized at all times.
  • Coordinate freight handling. Sort and move product according to designated area; rotate stock and arrange for disposal, if appropriate.
  • Ensure safety; including but not limited to, wearing of safety equipment, blade security, and applying general safety guidelines.
  • Complete necessary paperwork as directed by immediate supervisor.
  • Keep management abreast of security issues, inventory control, and all other information regarding the commissary.
  • Work in a team focused environment.
  • Operate simple office machines (which may in some cases include computer assisted inventory, may operate a forklift or other light equipment used in moving and/or storing inventory).
  • May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
  • Maintain professional uniform attire, including slip resistant shoes.
  • Assist with general cleaning in the commissary area.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Flexible schedules that can accommodate early morning shifts
  • Good time management skills for preparation and production
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment
  • Minimal experience in the food service industry
  • Basic computer skills and abilities to quickly learn new programs
