Current Need

 

The Communications Manager is responsible for developing, driving and executing strategic communication plans that support and the business objectives of The US Oncology Network. Key audiences include executives, employees, physician practices and patients. 

The candidate must possess strong marketing communications skills, including: communications strategy and plan development, message development, writing and copy editing, integrated marketing communications, and superior project management skills.
This role partners with key stakeholders across McKesson Specialty Health, including The US Oncology Network customer segment, to ensure sound alignment between the business unit and segment objectives.
The Communications Manager functions in a highly matrix organization and will require expertise in team building and collaboration and the ability to make informed decisions in a timely manner,
using strong judgment and extreme attention to detail.

Position Description

 

Create, drive and execute Practice Management communications strategy with audience segmentation, planning, writing and execution.

Support executive communications needs for internal and external audiences, including leadership content development, talking points/FAQs, event scripts and presentation coaching.

Support general marketing communications needs to ensure alignment across other MSH segments and internal communications.

Create, organize, coordinate, track and communicate projects, timelines and approvals in conjunction with all necessary stakeholders.



 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
8+ years communications experience

Critical Skills

8 years of marketing or communications experience, preferably in healthcare industry role.

Excellent communications skills, written and verbal, in creating communications materials for both online and offline environments.

Experience providing design guidance/recommendations for presentations and other communication materials.

Vendor resource management, project management and budget management experience required

Ability to forge cross-BU relationships, problem solve and negotiate solutions among competing interests. 

Advanced user in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word, also experience with survey tools (e.g. Survey Gizmo) is required

Education
4-year degree in journalism, communications, business or related field or equivalent experience


Physical Requirements
General Office Demands

Some travel may be required up to 15%
