Adecco is assisting a well known company in their search for a Compensation Analyst job in Duluth, MN. This is a full time Direct Hire opportunity in a busy Human Resource Office. As a Compensation Analyst you will be responsible for a variety of critical activities, including: Compensation plan design, development and implementation; Utilization of market pricing tool for a variety of technical programs; Determination of starting and promotional rates for non-contract and contract employees; Partner with department leaders, workforce development and employment to identify and meet workforce needs and ensure organizational effectiveness and meeting business objectives; Develop and review new and revised job descriptions for proper format and determine range placement for new jobs in order to maintain consistent, current, and accurate JCAHO, ADA, Affirmative Action etc. compliant job descriptions and the integrity of the salary program across the organization; Ensure compliance with all current and proposed compensation legal requirements by proactive involvement in various activities; Perform a wide variety of research, analysis and reporting with tight deadlines. Assist with Compensation plan design, development and implementation by gathering all necessary data, conducting analyses, and presenting final results and recommendations in presentations to Senior Management and others in educational sessions.
Responsibilities for this Compensation Analyst include:
Prepare annual market study of salary data for non-union jobs including associated recommendations to management to ensure that salary structure reflects market and salary program results in competitive salaries.
Develop recommendations for movement of structure and annual increases based on thorough analysis and review of several possible scenarios
Implements annual increases in collaboration with IS and HRIS to assure timely and accurate completion.
Analyze and summarize data for special reviews in a timely and accurate manner and prepares concise recommendations.
Prepare and present training to departments/managers on a variety of compensation topics, policies, regulations, etc.
Partner with department leaders, workforce development and employment to identify and meet workforce needs and ensure organizational effectiveness and meeting business objectives.
Make recommendations regarding department structure and career laddering. Assist with reorganization efforts when necessary.
Spends time in departments learning business in order to create accurate job descriptions and salary structures.
Educate department management on compensation laws and philosophy to ensure compliance of all policies and practices.
Utilize ePrism tool for a variety of technical programs and uses for audiences from Department Management to Senior Team.
Conduct annual increase modeling, costing, and analysis, and provides recommendations to Senior Management.
Determine starting and promotional rates for non-contract and contract employees by gathering education and experience from files and applications for current and prospective employee offers.
Develop and implement an on-going process and efficient methodology for experience assessments for prospective and current employees to ensure maintaining consistency and internal equity in hiring, transferring and promoting employees.
Develop and review new and revised job descriptions for proper format and determines range placement for new jobs in order to maintain consistent, current, and accurate JCAHO, ADA, Affirmative Action etc. compliant job descriptions and the integrity of the salary program across the organization.
Review job description and gathers information and suggestions for revisions which will assure adherence to job description standards and consistency throughout the organization.
Review appropriateness of job titles for conformity to titling guidelines.
Analyze jobs for salary range placement and presents recommendations to department directors along with justification.
Assign Occupation Classification codes to new job descriptions/titles to ensure accurate census reporting.
Advise Labor Relations and HRIS of pertinent job description changes and discontinued titles.
Ensure all job requirements meet legal, compliance, and policy guidelines.
Ensure compliance with all current and proposed compensation legal requirements by proactive involvement in various activities.
Review pay practices to ensure compliance with legal requirements such as the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Assess jobs with the provisions of the FLSA to determine appropriate exempt/non-exempt status, documenting decisions.
Responsible for personal and professional development which will ensure current knowledge in health care management and relevant areas of specialty in order to achieve organizational effectiveness.
Perform a wide variety of research, analysis and reporting with tight deadlines.
-Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or equivalent education/experience
-Over three years' full-time professional level experience in human resources
-Compensation experience preferred
Compensation will be based off of experience, ranging from $31.05 per hour to $46.58 per hour.
