The Compensation Business Analyst II is responsible for compensation plan configuration and all aspects of system integration between legacy ERP’s and Synygy. He/she will work closely with the compensation teams to ensure system design meets all business requirements. This individual will primarily focus is on the DePuy Synthes Spine and DePuy Mitek business units. Additional responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Thorough understanding of all aspects of the compensation plan components and how they need to be configured in Synygy to calculate accurately at all levels of the sales organization
  • Documentation of system requirements to accurately pay compensation at all levels of the sales organization; this includes writing all test scripts and working with business partners to ensure testing meets all requirements and execution of scripts into production environment
  • Ability to extract data from backend of Synygy for complex modeling of what if scenarios in Excel/Access database
  • Responsible for ongoing managed support issues between the business and Synygy including leading calls, tracking issues and testing and execution into production environment
  • Troubleshoot integration issues between legacy ERP systems and Synygy
  • Understanding of MDM requirements and how Synygy data is used in MDM and all legacy downstream systems including ROTC
  • Provide support as needed to special projects that involve compensation


  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of business experience OR a minimum of an Associate’s Degree and 4 years of business experience is required
  • Experience in a healthcare industry selling organization is preferred 
  • Experience with Synygy is preferred
  • Advanced MS Excel and MS Access skills (VLookups, Pivot Tables, Macros, Formulas) are required
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong business acumen to perform complex business analyses and financial modeling is required
  • The ability to participate in and/or lead cross-functional teams and be able to present complex information clearly and concisely to clients of all levels (written/verbal) is required
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and recommend and implement process improvements is required 
  • The ability to be customer-focused, resourceful and thrive in changing environment is required
