In this position based in Austin, the Compliance Operations Project Manager will work with the eBay businesses globally to develop, track, and implement projects to help satisfy regulatory requirements and meet business objectives. The project manager will be part of the Global Payments, Billing, & Risk organization and focus on implementations related to OFAC Sanctions Compliance, AML Compliance, and audits. 

The position is expected to be well versed in leading complex technology implementations partnering with external vendors and multiple internal vendors, defining milestones, and tracking initiatives through implementation.  This position will also have varied duties including coordinating and tracking the ongoing sanctions screening batch runs, partnering with vendors for technical requirements and defining ongoing product enhancements, coordinating member outreach campaigns such as customer incentives involving coupons, or gift cards, producing and maintaining a weekly project dashboard prepared for senior leadership, collecting enhancements to internal billing tools and prioritize to backlog, conduct UAT testing on product releases, and liaise with QA, and products teams.


Job Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans tracking technology, feature, functionality and process change implementations.
  • Effectively align with partners across a global matrixed organization.
  • Develop and maintain a weekly project dashboard and ongoing issues.
  • Support analysis, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Coordinate and track the ongoing sanctions screening batch runs with external vendor
  • Coordinate member outreach campaigns such as customer incentives involving coupons, or gift cards
  • Assist with other departmental tasks, such as supporting the creation of metrics, reporting, and audits.

Basic Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of project management experience
  • PMP/PMI Certification preferred
  • Demonstrated success as a project manager leading complex implementations in a matrixed organization
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance applicable to OFAC sanctions screening, and AML would be a plus
  • Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Visio and Project
  • Proficiency utilizing Jira would be beneficial
  • Strong oral skills leading meetings
  • Strong technical and analytical reasoning skills
  • Strong organizational knowledge and proven ability to work effectively in a cross‐functional environment is highly preferred 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and superior judgment
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance applicable to OFAC sanctions screening, and AML would be a plus
  • Effective communication skills to productively present information and respond to questions from internal partners including product, technology, legal and compliance teams.
