Description:

Our client is looking for a Computer Equipment Specialist, Level II to support the Fort Eustis NEC and other tenants. This position is located at the Fort Eustis NEC. The CES will be required to prioritize workload from various taskers which will come directly from Remedy Action Request System (RARS), NEC managers or from the on-call IT Service Desk contract employee. The CES must be familiar with creating tickets within RARS and understanding how and when to escalate tickets. Communicating issues regarding the assigned Zone, documenting those issues and troubleshooting those issues will also be required. The CES should be knowledgeable and familiar with the C4IM List understanding the difference of baseline and above baseline services and the responsibilities as it pertains to the NEC and other occupying tenants.

The CES will also be required to install, configure and troubleshoot government furnished equipment and have knowledge of their equipment (laptops, desktops, blackberries, switches, routers, computer peripherals, printers and servers). The CES will be required to image computers on a daily basis, add printers and computers to the network and update IAVAs. Must be able to operate the Service Desk with Tier II Systems Support to include providing on-site services for walk-in inquires. Additional duties will follow based on the requirement of the NEC customer.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Must have the ability to diagnose and correct operating system problems.

• Build new systems by installing the Army Gold Master (AGM) approved operating system, baseline software applications, and required security patches.

• Install encryption systems used to protect the data of portable systems such as laptops; and identify and install required drivers.

Certifications/Licenses:
Security+ CE and Windows 7 (70-680 and 70-685) Certified

**MCSA, MCP, or MCTS

Education:
Bachelor's degree (preferred) and a minimum of 4 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Security Clearance:
This position requires a SECRET clearance.
