Position Description

The Computer Operator is responsible for direct technical support and hands-on maintenance of both hardware and software at the Sioux Falls campus with some secondary support for other Fiserv entities.  The position will respond to associate issues submitted into support queues and interact closely with Network Administrators to provide complete support coverage for Fiserv associates.

Essential Job Responsibilities:  

  • Image and deploy PC and laptop equipment
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for both local and remote associates
  • Monitor and resolve issues coming into the support queues used by Fiserv associates
  • Deploy and maintain encryption and security software utilized on end user computers
  • Create and manage software packages using standard deployment tool
  • Maintain the PC and laptop hardware inventory
  • Perform electronic recycling

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Associates Degree in computer science or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a computer help desk role
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to do technical trouble shooting and problem solving
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work in our Sioux Falls location

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • CompTIA A+ or Network+
  • Local candidates

Additional Skills/Knowledge

  • Self-Motivated with the ability to multi-task
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Windows workstation operating systems and computer hardware
  • Ability to work both independently or with a team

Physical Requirements: 

  • Standing
  • Lifting up to 40 pounds
  • Walking to associate cubicles and between buildings
