Position Description
  • Responsible for managing the operations of the computer center, managing McKesson technology and information systems, as to provide facility leadership the necessary information and training tools, to maximize efficiencies in its business. 
  • Ensures the operation is in accordance with established procedures and practices.
  • Monitors performance of computing equipment, coordinates equipment installation and delivery schedules.
  • This position may have 24x7 on call responsibility and has responsibility for ensuring systems availability.
  • This position may have varying shifts and cross-shift work may be required.
  • Responsibility also include server room, telecom system and IT and data governance processes.


Minimum Requirements
  • 2+ years computer operations experience and demonstrated leadership skills

Critical Skills
  • Experience managing, leading and developing staff
  • Demonstrated employee engagement skills
  • Proficient in standard desktop applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook
  • Good working knowledge of computer hardware with experience in computer refreshes, set up of computer hardware and software
  • Project management experience; adept at coordinating and managing projects effectively
  • Strong ability to communication and collaborate effectively across all levels and functional areas of the org to meet business objectives
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively
  • Must be open to flexible day hours, Monday through Friday, with 7AM start; must also be open to on call and overtime as needed

Additional Knowledge & Skills
  • Working knowledge of the operations of a computer center in a centralized environment; demonstrated leadership skills
  • AS400 and SAP knowledge preferred
  • Experience with a computerized inventory control system preferred
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to write queries

  • 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
