You will collaborate closely with data scientists, breeders, other spatial and environmental scientists and developers. You will help build the next generation of phenomics using novel imagery solutions at Monsanto.
What you will be doing:
Developing new vision and image processing technologies for next-generation sensors and platforms.
Developing 2D and 3D object detection and segmentation algorithms using RGB, multi and hyperspectral imagery.
Designing algorithms for 3D object classification using point cloud and image data.
Deploying efficient data structures that you will benchmark on speed, accuracy and robustness
What we need from you:
Previous experience in computer vision, image processing and remote sensing principles. Solid foundation in curating and interpreting data from a multitude of imaging modalities (RGB, thermal, LiDAR, multi/hyperspectral, etc.). Experience in a least a few of the tools, environments and languages: QGIS, ENVI, ERDAS Imagine, Python, R, AWS. Preferred knowledge with multi-temporal data processing, video processing and 3D scene reconstruction methods. A PhD in a quantitative discipline is required.
Skills in at least two of the following areas are preferred: QGIS, Python, R, Deep Learning, software interfacing to AWS services, machine learning and spatial data mining
