The Principal Solutions Engineer-Certification reports to the Austin Site Engineering Manager and is responsible for ensuring Dell EMC Azure Stack Engineered Systems meet all Microsoft Azure Stack Certification requirements. This Engineer will work directly with Dell EMC component engineering groups, Azure Stack Engineering teams and Microsoft to ensure component, system and solution certifications are scheduled, completed and correctly reported within Dell EMC and Microsoft. The Certification Engineer will work with partners within the Dell EMC Infrastructure Solutions Group to identify any gaps or issues in completing required certifications and drive resolution of any problems identified. The Solution Certification Systems Principal Engineer is the Subject Matter Expert for Azure Stack Certification including Component, System PCS and VasS Microsoft Requirements.
**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Develop and maintain expert knowledge of Azure Stack certification requirements. Negotiate updates and changes where required.
+ Develop Azure Stack Validation as a Service (VaaS) infrastructure and enhance with appropriate automation.
+ Develop, document and execute certification plans. Ensure appropriate solution components are available for required certification work.
+ Communicate certificate plans, progress and issues to Dell EMC team and Microsoft Certification Program leads.
+ Consult with solution architects and technical marketing to provide solution and certification white papers or technical marketing content as need for the Azure Stack Certified Solutions Catalog.
**Skills & Qualifications**
+ Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
+ Experience with common automation frameworks and languages
+ Experience using, installing and configuring Microsoft Server and Azure software components
+ Deep knowledge of computing infrastructure technologies, particularly in the fields of networking and storage
+ Undergraduate degree and 8-10 years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 6-8 years relevant experience.
+ Travel: 5%
