VCE Customer Experience Engineering is responsible in performing Tier 2 / 3 Impact Assessments (IA) in
evaluating top technical and business trends in the field impacting VCE customer base that may be different from the standard catalog of products and the roadmp. It is also responsible to help facilitate “productization” to solutions to minimize “one-offs” from standard unified product roadmap. This process requires mining of data from current and historical data that requires management & this overall process requires a product management structure applied for effectiveness.
The Principal Product Manager role for Customer Experience Product Management organization requires extensive experience in customer-centric product management with extensive experience in planning and managing enterprise class IT Services through all phases of a product offering life cycle, including concept, definition, planning, development and implementation. It is also important to have strong industry knowledge and experience in key IT and Data Center areas such as Converged Infrastructure, Cloud, Security & Compliance, Data Protection, Virtualization, etc.The Customer Experience Product Manager will work closely with VCE cross-functional organizations such as Service Practice leaders, platform and solution engineering, sales and marketing to define and execute a product offering strategy geared specific to customers to grow and improve the revenue and profitability. In addition, will work to harvest customer specific product requirements into VCE product roadmap for continued development as appropriate. Strong business planning & execution, communication and negotiation skills are essential
Areas of Responsibility:
· The core responsibility of the Product Manager is to help develop Customer centric product offerings across various VCE product portfolio based on VCE Product Architecture. Having a blend of the right technical, thought leadership and self-starting skills in order to understand customer requirements that may be unique, define specific use cases, and incubate the initial set of product offerings that can be harvested into VCE standard unified roadmap.
