The Pre-sales team is a new organization in Dell commercial tasked with leading and architecting our customer’s transition into their digital future with solutions oriented technical wins. The organization consists of 750 advanced pre-sales engineers WW who acts as trusted technical advisors to our customers through deep knowledge of technical architecture and enterprise applications and demonstrated success applying them to various customer environments. Working collectively with the account team, our goal is to protect and grow market share across the Dell EMC portfolio, accelerate the growth of high margin products, all while providing a superior customer experience through value based selling.
**Key Responsibilities** The Pre-Sales Strategy, Planning and Programs team is the operations wing of this organization. As a pre-sales Operations team member you will have a front seat to the evolution of the Commercial organization as we combine the best of EMC’s value selling processes with the transactional volume and speed of Dell. You will be a member of the senior leadership team and tasked with helping these high value resources integrate quickly into the Dell Commercial run the business processes. You will be:
+ Voice of Pre-sales Leadership with Regional GMs and Finance + Build and Report on a region specific metrics package for the pre-sales team + Define, Review and conduct forensics on key ASE KPIs and Productivity initiatives in quarter and owns business cadence for pre-sales inspection processes + Business partner to the pre-sales leader in region to help identify business gaps in quarter + Lead advocate for pre-sales requirements with the BMS and any other reporting teams, partner with the pre-sales strategy and program teams on longer term initiatives + Regionally deployed to align with regional Pre-sales and sales leaders + Scope will be global or, regional based on location and prior experience
+ Education (Bachelor’s degree or higher) in Computer Science/IT, Applied Science, Math, Statistics or equivalent science field; + Pro-level proficiency in MS Excel & Powerpoint. SQL is plus. Prior examples of advanced BI and operational reporting will need to be supplied. + Ability to demonstrate experience working with BMS and other internal reporting teams for most efficient development and management of weekly reporting. + Experience with building and conducting Quarterly Business Reviews. + Proven ability to deal with ambiguity. Self-starter who is comfortable working with senior leadership teams with little guidance. + Dynamic executive presence with clear communication skills. + Prior roles as finance controller, business planner or, in sales operations are plus.
