The Solution Integration Systems Principal Engineer reports to the Austin Site Engineering Manager and is responsible to develop and manage integration operations to build and deploy the Microsoft and Dell EMC Azure Stack Solution components. This Engineer will work directly with Dell EMC solutions architects, Azure Stack Engineering teams, Merge Centers and Dell EMC partners to deliver the Azure Stack Hybrid Cloud into the customer data center. Activity will include working with Microsoft on procedures to integrate Dell EMC and Microsoft content into a deployment image and define factory integration processes used by Dell EMC and Partners. The Solution Integration Systems Principal Engineer will work with team members to identify any gaps or issues in the merge center, partner or field procedures used for this solution. This Engineer is the Subject Matter Expert for Azure Stack image creation, hardware stack build and solution deployment.
**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Develop and maintain knowledge of Azure Stack image and deployment requirements. Negotiate updates and changes where required.
+ Develop and enhance build procedures and automation.
+ Develop integration documentation and training for Global Merge Centers and Integration partners.
+ Create additional product documents for use by Dell EMC Engineers, partners or customers.
+ Communicate integration progress and issues to Dell EMC team and Microsoft Azure Stack engineers as appropriate.
+ Consult with solution architects and technical marketing to provide solution white papers or technical marketing content as needed.
+ Support pre and post sales teams with customer specific deployment recommendations.
**Skills & Qualifications**
+ Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
+ Experience using, installing and configuring Dell EMC and Microsoft Cloud products.
+ Experience or certifications with Azure is recommended
+ Knowledge of computing infrastructure technologies including cabling and power distribution.
+ Ideally should have sufficient programming knowledge to use scripting tools and languages to automate test infrastructure setup and execution. Examples could include Perl, Python, PowerShell and use of tools such as Chef or Puppet
+ Undergraduate degree and 8-10 years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 6-8 years relevant experience.
+ Travel: 10%
