DESCRIPTION:

Overview: The responsibilities of this position include leading the worldwide management and execution of cross-functional programs through the Offer Lifecycle Management Process (OLP). This includes developing program goals that support the business objectives and developing and executing strategies and plans to meet those goals. Identifying and implementing process improvements and assisting in the integration of complex business factors to develop and implement long-term strategic planning objectives is required. Additional responsibilities include managing the level of revenue risk associated with the new product lifecycle.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:
- Lead cross-functional core teams and drive execution across all product development functions (including: Development Engineering, Marketing, Services, Operations, Quality, Finance and other functional areas)
- Prepare and present clear, concise program updates and critical phase exit deliverables to Senior Management
- Establish program schedules and identify key risk mitigation plans and manage major risks and issues through effective contingency plans and proper escalations
- Lead and document core team meetings and required single subject working sessions
- Lead the Core team to deliver the program / product on time, at the desired quality level and the sales / marketing plan
- Manage and drive the creation, review and approval of Product Requirements Documents and Program Plans
- Analyze, track performance and progress against Program Plan goals and make necessary corrections to achieve all bounding box goals
- Establish clear objectives and deliverables for the program that support business needs

Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience and knowledge of product development / lifecycle processes and management
- Technical aptitude in PC/Server Design/Use/Manufacturing

- Experience in program management including product/schedule planning and senior management interaction
- Experience leading broad cross functional teams

Education/ Experience:
- Engineering degree preferred with 8+ years career experience in more than one functional discipline (E.g. Engineering, Operations, Quality, Marketing). An MBA is a plus
Drive/ Memory Program Management: Key Role Objectives
  • Hard Drives/ SSDs
    • Rationalize the HDD portfolio, working with WWP and Product Management to optimize the Server HDD offerings for complexity and market coverage
    • Drive portfolio interlocks ensuring HDD qualification and delivery is aligned to platform requirements; be an active participant in the portfolio program delivery planning including  driving alignment on technology transitions,
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive quality improvement plan aimed at meeting LOB/ SBT/ Warranty Cost goals; includes participation in SBT CX/ Quality initiatives as well as ensuring risk mitigations for future technology transitions
    • Align material supply issues & recovery to core business operations; i.e. provide greater oversight to potential COS impact on customer fulfillment and help drive mitigations & recovery
    • Lead core teams to successfully deliver and support the HDD / SSD roadmap including new launches, transitions and EOL; includes providing oversight/ governance to cost and TAM strategy.
  • Memory
    • Rationalize memory offerings & ensure the development of a comprehensive plan on new technology introductions; including
      • Determining the appropriate platforms/ timing for technology introductions
      • Ensuring comprehensive risk/ quality mitigation plans on the implementation of new technology (ex: DDR5, NVDIMM, Apache Pass, etc...)
      • Manage coverage vs complexity where applicable going forward
    • Drive portfolio interlocks on new system features, memory NUDDs, etc....; participate in PM release/ portfolio planning ensuring introductions & transitions are aligned
    • Ensure a comprehensive quality/ service/ warranty cost plan for memory technologies aimed at meeting  LOB/ SBT/ Warranty Cost goals
    • Lead core teams to successfully deliver and support the memory roadmap including new launches, transitions and EOL; includes providing oversight/ governance to cost and TAM strategy.
