Consulting Technical Manager
PeopleSoft Functional Financials Consultant
PeopleSoft Financials modules - Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Asset Management, Purchasing and eProcurement. The candidate must have significant experience in complex PeopleSoft environments and working with a blend of staff, consultants, and outsourcing providers. Must be a functional subject matter expert with one or more of the relevant modules with a preference for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Purchasing as well as a good PeopleSoft technical foundational background.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead small to mid-size implementation and enhancement projects
Perform as Business Analyst and subject matter expert (SME) with identified PeopleSoft modules
Gather requirements - lead discovery efforts
Support clients in their testing of applications
Conduct system testing of changes/fixes/enhancements of applications supported
Troubleshooting of noted applications providing production support
Participate in analysis and implementation of patches and upgrades
Participate in all audit and governance activities
Ensure assignments are completed with highest quality and within Service Level Agreement
Potential to expand to other related areas such as Hyperion Essbase
Proven functional subject matter expert with technical background in full lifecycle support of PeopleSoft; expertise including at least 3 of the following PeopleSoft Financial modules, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Asset Management, Purchasing, on a recent release.
Prior Consulting experience with a Large Consulting firm or Software Vendor
Possess strong PeopleSoft functional knowledge with a focused perspective on business functions.
Possess a PeopleSoft technical background - will not develop but must have background with PeopleSoft technologies including Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Integration technologies, etc.
Reporting background including nVision, Query, SQL BI Publisher. Be hands on as necessary in development and modification of reports.
Prior Functional Lead experience on PeopleSoft Application and Tools Upgrade projects
Ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple IT teams on project work and issue resolution
Operate as a primary point of contact with business areas
Thorough understanding of the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Experience in creating business requirement documents and functional specifications
Strong problem solving skills
BA or BS in Computer Science, MIS, Accounting or related work experience
• 8-10 years PeopleSoft experience
• Functional Knowledge in PeopleSoft Financials Modules, e.g. PO, AP, GL, AM

Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.
Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer's objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack.
8-10 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience. Prior team leadership or management experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to travel as needed.
