Role Purpose: The  Contract Manager will be a member of WWE Logistics team, leading the global sourcing team. This individual will establish, directly manage the global sourcing function across enterprise-wide at Gartner.  Expected to play a key role in efforts aimed at standardizing sourcing processes, operating standards, sourcing methodologies and value analysis.  Will provide critical strategic sourcing leadership for the organization to deliver against company initiatives related to securing optimal event space, cost reduction and cost avoidance.  Required to work with cross-functional stakeholders through a structured multi step processes; to capture business requirements, analyze supply markets, develop appropriate sourcing strategy, evaluate prospective supplier responses, select suppliers and negotiate agreements that deliver best in class value to the organization.  

Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Responsible for leading the team responsible for selecting, evaluating and managing Gartner event venues, contract negotiations and global calendar
· Working as a partner with the functional leadership, on business context and priorities, to develop and implement a scalable strategy
· Leverage data & analytics to formulate strategy and execute, based on business priorities and requirements
· Develop and implement effective strategies in negotiating costs with hotels and vendors
· Work directly with hotel and conference center sales managers to negotiate food and beverage, room rental costs, attrition and cancellation clauses; all with consideration to budget and service protocols
· Manage day-to-day priorities for the timely and efficient execution of workload
· Independently manage more difficult, complex contract issues, develops the Gartner  position and leads negotiations
· Leveraging company wide buying power to ensure company is receiving the best options at the most affordable costs
·  Design process for data collection and analysis; package and report meetings data to senior leadership to direct decision making around event strategy
· Provide strategic analysis to program contacts, to assist in the decision making of meeting locations, length, format, attendance capacity, budget, etc. 
· Monitor event budgets each year for portfolio of programs.  Develop strategies for colleagues to use in negotiating costs and adhering to budgets when working with vendors
· Vendor management: collaborate with meeting managers to capture positive/negative feedback regarding vendors including restaurant venues and in-house vendors. Following up with these properties to ensure practices are adjusted accordingly
· Foster strong relationships with hotel contacts to ensure quality standard at meetings is maintained, company expectations are met, and lines of communication are open
·  Vendor identification: Oversee site visit process in researching, scheduling, reporting and tracking potential venues for hotels. 
· Maintaining contract files and using as reference for future events/needs

Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· 10+ years of event management experience
o End-to-end Event management and delivery to Senior level clients
o Experience of working in a complex multi layered corporate environment with multiple stakeholders
o Prior experience researching, negotiating contracts for meeting services and working with hotels and external vendors
o Financial Management
